[RENDEZ-VOUS]
A surprising new angle on Roussillon, with a range of straightforward and extremely drinkable varietal wines that sometimes play fast and loose with convention.
RED
A crisp red like it’s supposed to be, and one that slips down very easily. Red fruits, gooseberry and crushed strawberry. Fluid and appealing in the mouth, with a surprisingly festive finish.
IGP Côtes Catalanes
Grape : Grenache
Soil : Têt valley, rounded granite and quartz pebbles
How we make it : Fully destemmed, traditional vinification with three weeks in the tank. Subjected to multiple remontages (pumped over the fermenting must), gently pressed, free-run juice poured off.
WHITE
A little tension, and a lot of freshness. This Macabeu unveils aromas of white fruit, anis, and honey, bright on the attack, fresh and lemony in the mouth, with a good length.
IGP Côtes Catalanes
Grape : Macabeu (80 year-old-vines)
Soil : Agly valley, black schist
How we make it : The grapes are picked early to preserve the subtlety and freshness of Macabeu, fully destemmed, direct pressed, and settled. Fermentation is slow and temperature controlled.
ROSÉ
An extremely elegant rosé Grenache, with full-flavored raspberry and cherry on the nose, ample and fleshy in the mouth with red fruits and blackberry. A true winegrower’s rosé.
IGP Côtes Catalanes
